Each week will include general aspects, but each will also have its own set of goals. Through the leadership of the coordinator and his team the group will learn to grow as both an individual and as a team member with their fellow LITz. They will leave the program hopefully having learned the different aspects of leadership and the qualities that will help them begin to grasp their full leadership potential. The LITz have their own, separate program in the morning, but come together with the rest of the camp for lunches and afternoon activities.
The LITz will have the opportunity to interact with younger campers and gain invaluable experience in a supportive environment. With the guidance of the coordinator they will have roles in organizing, planning, implementing, and teaching younger campers. They will be a constant source of inspiration for the campers, fellow LITz, and staff. The LITz arrive before the Campers at 8:40 and go directly to their tent. They leave with the campers at 4:00 pm, daily. On Friday LITz stay until 5:30pm for the weekly camp performance.
Program Tasks
Along with their formal Leadership Training the LITz will, (just to give you a sampling of ideas) with staff direction and help:

- Create and Lead a weekly Nature Encampment for the campers.
- Help Lead the All Camp Games on Mount Olympus every Thursday.
- Create, Direct, and Act in Camp skits, songs, projects, and all camp events.
- Inspire the campers though their leadership and their art
- Create unique elevated art for display.
- Create a performance piece for the Friday fest and help to MC the event
- Work with some staff members learning the inner workings of camp (working on cabin plans, Windhover duties, scheduling the day etc…)
